We Paint AFX paints at festivals, corporate events, carnivals, church events, grand openings, block parties or just about anywhere we can find a crowd.
We also do themed face painting for holiday events.
Our on time, professional “can do attitude” paired with talent and enthusiasm adds that little extra something to every event. So give us a call to book today and let us “change the face” of your event!
If you’re planning a party or an event, please call as early as you can. Typically two weeks or more is a good enough time for us to offer face or body painting anywhere in the Detroit area.
We offer our services by the hour and will be available for however long you need us, and that may depend on how many guests you expect to have at your event. Birthday parties are typically two hours or more, and we often find that the kids aren’t the only ones who want designs.
Other events, particularly if they are community or are scheduled for longer than two hours, may take longer. On the average, we can serve 12 clients per hour.
When you hire us, you should expect us to arrive early enough to set up and be ready to take the first client at the agreed upon start time. The clock starts when we are set up and ready, not necessarily when your guests arrive.
So if you’re not expecting guests until at least 30 minutes after your party’s start time, you should schedule your artist to arrive about the same time or later.
If you need information, please give us a call at 734-620-0628, or use our online contact form.
We Use Safe Products
We use top-quality cosmetic grade face paint designed for use on the skin. Some casual face painters use craft paints or washable markers. While these are labeled non-toxic, this does not mean they are safe to be used on skin. Cheaper paints and those made with non-FDA compliant ingredients carry the risk for higher allergic reactions.
Our glitter is safe as well. We use only cosmetic glitter made of polyester, .008mm or less in diameter and cut in a hexagonal shape, which make it safe for use on skin.
We do not use glitter used for crafts. This glitter is made of metal and has sharp edges and is not safe for use on skin especially on the face.
Removing the Paint
Water based face paint comes off easily. You may use warm water and mild soap on a wash cloth. If trace stains are left, apply lotion and rewash.
